Great Clips recognized as best employer for women
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (August 6, 2019) — The Great Clips® brand has been recognized as one of America’s Best Employers for Women by Forbes, ranked 17th on the list. Results were based on a survey conducted by independent research firm Statista, with a representative sample of more than 60,000 employees. “This award is in recognition of our more than 1,200 franchisees,” said Steve Hockett, CEO of Great Clips, Inc.
“They work hard every day to provide a rewarding, fun and supportive environment for their 40,000 stylists and employees across our more than 4,400 Great Clips-branded salons. All of us at Great Clips are proud that Forbes has recognized those efforts.”
The evaluation was based on different criteria, including:
Direct recommendations on work topics in general, including working conditions, salary and wage, development and diversity.
Direct recommendations on topics relevant to women in particular, such as parental leave, family support, discrimination and pay equity.
Indirect recommendations on other employers in their respective industries that stand out either positively or negatively.
